Reaching out to all people and magnifying the love of Jesus Christ while bringing them into God's family and developing each one to fulfill God's purpose for their life."
Our mission statement is more than just a catchy phrase. We hope that it gives you insight into just who we are.
We are a body of believers committed to worshipping and serving Jesus Christ. We join with likeminded Christians in spreading the gospel around the world. We believe that "A Great Commitment to the Great Commandment will grow a Great Church!"
THE GREAT COMMANDMENT
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind...Love your neighbor as yourself. All the law and Prophets hang on these two commandments." Matthew 22: 37-40
THE GREAT COMMISSION
"Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." Matthew 28:19-20
Tamuning Christian Fellowship has come together as a fellowship of believers in the name of Jesus Christ. It is our desire is to know Christ and be conformed to His image by the power of the Holy Spirit. We are a Southern Baptist Chruch., and we not opposed to any other denominations, only to any focus of doctrinal differences that may lead to the division of the Body of Christ. - We believe the true basis of Christian fellowship is found in Christ's love, which is greater than anything we possess. It is only because of His love that we have the right to be a part of His eternal family. .
- We believe worship of God is spiritual. It is the Holy Spirit that leads our worship and yield and remain flexible to His guidance.
- We believe worship of God is inspirational. Therefore, we emphasis music in our worship.
- We believe worship of God is intelligent. Therefore, our services are designed with emphasis on the teaching of the Word of God.
- We believe worship of God should be fruitful. Therefore, we seek His love in our daily lives as the supreme being who should truly worshiped
- We believe in the basic doctrines of historic Christianity.
- We believe in the inerrancy of Scripture, that the Bible, Old and New Testaments are the inspired, infallible Word of God.
- We believe that God is eternally existent in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- We believe that God is the Creator of all things.
- We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human, that He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, provided for the atonement of our sins by His substitutionary death on the cross, was bodily raised from the dead, ascended back to the right hand of the Father, and ever lives to make intercession for us.
- We believe in the personal, visible second coming of Jesus Christ to the earth. He will return with His saints and set up a kingdom of which there will be eternal.
- After Jesus ascended to Heaven, He sent the Holy Spirit on the believers in Jerusalem, enabling them to fulfill His command to preach the Gospel to the entire world, an obligation carried on by all believers today.
- We believe that all people are, by nature, separated from God and responsible for their own sin, but that salvation, redemption, and forgiveness are freely offered to all by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. When a person confess his sins to God with a contrite heart, repents of sin and trusts Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord, believing Him to save, that person is immediately born again and sealed by the Holy Spirit, all his/her sins are forgiven, and that person becomes a child of God, destined to spend eternity with the Lord.
- We believe in the Spiritual gifts as written in the Scriptures, and that they are valid for today if they are exercised within the scriptural guidelines. We as believers are to covet the best gifts, seeking to exercise them in love that the whole Body of Christ might be edified. We believe that love is the most important gift of all, and without this love all exercise of spiritual gifts is worthless.
